Late 19th Century Gebruder Dingeldein Hanau Sterling Silver Tea Caddy.

This is a charming late 19th Century Gebruder Dingeldein Hanau Sterling Silver Tea Caddy.  It has wonderful detail and form. Typical Watteau Loving Couple in the garden gardening. In doing research I found that many people would consider this English.  From what I have found it is a “Pseudo Hallmark” done by Gebruder Dingeldein founded in 1868.   This hallmark looks like Sterling Silver London hallmark.  If you look close you will see what looks to be a Dolphin.  That is one example of the Hanau mark. It measures approximately 2.75 inches long and stands 3.50 inches tall.  It weighs 4.8 ounces or 136.07 grams.
