A Rare English John Shaw Circa 1815 Nutmeg Grater in Sterling Silver.  It is a small oval shaped hinged box with a steel grate. It has a later inscription, "Dec. 25,1845."  Fully marked.   It measures 1 and 11/16 inches x 1.25 inches.  From Birmingham England.  From a nice collection of 14 Nutmeg Graters fresh from a New Jersey estate.
