16th Century Italian Credenza from the Palazzo Davanzati Florence Elia Volpi Collection

Circa 1520 Italian Renaissance Credenza from the Palazzo Davanzati , Florence. The rectangular moulded projecting top above a stop-fluted, egg-and-dart-carved, dentilled and arcaded frieze centred by a drawer, above a pair of panelled doors with circular carved centers with knobs between stop-fluted composite columns with panelled sides with repeat of columns on sides. Illustrated in “Italian Furniture and Interiors” with text by George Leland Hunter 1918. From the rare and famous Elia Volpi Collection.
