Guilloche is a decorative metalworking technique that involves precisely engraving intricate, geometric patterns onto a metal surface, often silver or gold, using a mechanical rose engine or decorative lathe. This process creates a three-dimensional, reflective surface that enhances the beauty of the metal and is commonly found on items like watch cases, jewelry, and decorative boxes.
